Junior League of Summit Thrift Shop's Annual Holiday Boutique: December 1-3

The Junior League of Summit Thrift Shop at 37 DeForest Ave., is excited to announce its annual Holiday Boutique. The Holiday Boutique features new and gently used men’s, women’s, and children’s holiday items, as well as seasonal decorations. The event will be held at Parish Hall, Calvary Church on Thursday, December 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 2 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (DeForest Ave. entrance). The Thrift Shop will also remain open during regular business hours throughout the Event at Calvary Church which is located at 31 Woodland Ave, Summit (next to the Thrift Shop).

Thrift Shop Manager Marie Avagliano encourages holiday shoppers to come to the event, “The Holiday Boutique is a great event to kick off the holiday season. We have an amazing selection this year. In addition to the high quality, gently-used items that customers have come to expect from the Thrift Shop, the Holiday Boutique is the one time of year that the Shop also offers a huge amount of brand new merchandise (with tags). Come enjoy the fun, nice shopping atmosphere and keep on budget!”

Moreover, as with all Shop sales, all proceeds from the Holiday Boutique will directly fund JLS’ programming, community grants and projects. Last year the Holiday Boutique generated over $25,000 in revenues, enabling the League to continue its tradition of giving back while completing the renovation of the Thrift Shop, the oldest retail business in downtown Summit.

“It is truly amazing that we have an ability to directly contribute to local families’ holidays. With the Holiday Boutique’s affordable offerings, we enable people to fill their homes with love – and generous gifts. The fact that the money stays within the local community simply spreads the holiday cheer. We thank our customers and the community for your ongoing support,” said Junior League of Summit President Michelle DeMuth.
