2-Alarm Fire Closes Voorhees Town Center In Camden County
Authorities found heavy smoke and people still inside the building when they arrived at the mall around 5:30 p.m. Friday.
VOORHEES TOWNSHIP, NJ — Voorhees Town Center is closed for the weekend after a fire broke out in the mall's food court, authorities said.
Voorhees firefighters were called to the mall around 5:30 p.m. Friday, the department said in a social media post. They found heavy smoke and people still inside the building when they arrived.
Officials said everyone inside the mall was evacuated. No injuries were reported.

The fire started in the mall's food court and reached two alarms, according to Camden County IAFF Local 3249 and the Cherry Hill Fire Department.
The cause of the fire was unknown.

A post on Vo0rhees Town Center's Facebook page said the mall will be closed Saturday and Sunday.
Local and Camden County fire marshals are investigating.
