Cherry Hill Mourns The Deaths Of 2 Students
The impacted schools have had additional counselors on-site, according to Dr. Joseph N. Meloche.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — The Cherry Hill school community has been through a tough stretch, mourning the losses of two students who died in recent weeks, according to district administrators.
Dr. Joseph N. Meloche, superintendent of Cherry Hill Public Schools, addressed the deaths Friday in a letter to the school community. He withheld both students' identities and personal information.
"We ask that everyone maintain respect and responsible judgment during this difficult time to maintain privacy for the families as they grieve," Meloche wrote.

The schools directly impacted by their losses are "particularly devastated," the superintendent said. The affected schools have had additional guidance counselors and crisis counselors on-site, along with additional administrative support, according to Meloche.
