3 More Cherry Hill Residents Die Of Coronavirus
Fourteen new cases of the coronavirus were reported in Camden County, the fewest since March 26. There were also 12 confirmed deaths.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — Three more Cherry Hill residents have died after testing positive for the coronavirus, Camden County officials announced on Wednesday. They were among 12 new coronavirus fatalities reported countywide.
Three more Cherry Hill residents were among 14 new cases of the coronavirus diagnosed in the county on Wednesday. It is the lowest number of cases reported countywide since there were 14 cases reported on March 26.
There are now 964 cases of the coronavirus in Cherry Hill and 131 confirmed deaths. Camden County now has 7,422 cases of the coronavirus and 428 confirmed deaths.

“We are heartbroken to announce that 12 members of the Camden County community have been taken by COVID-19. Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones during this tremendously difficult period,” Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. said. “The longer we study this virus, the better we have come to understand how it spreads. The absolute best way to protect yourself and others is to wear a mask in public and maintain at least six feet in distance from the nearest person. These simple steps dramatically reduce the virus’ ability to spread. If we continue to take these painless, preventative steps, we can save lives and lessen the impact coronavirus has on our community moving forward.”

The new Cherry Hill fatalities included two men in their 80s and a man in his 90s. The new cases included two women in their 20s and one in her 90s. Trace investigations are underway in all new cases.
There have been 1,274 cases of the coronavirus diagnosed among residents at the county’s 56 long-term care facilities with 286 confirmed deaths. Another 464 staff members at these nursing homes have also tested positive for the coronavirus with three confirmed deaths.
