Juvenile, 3 Men Charged With Murder In July Fatal Shooting: Camden Co. Officials

A juvenile, two 19-year-olds, and a 20-year-old male face murder and conspiracy charges after a fatal summer shooting, officials said.

CAMDEN, NJ — Three men and one juvenile male face first-degree murder charges in connection with a fatal shooting this July in Camden, officials announced Monday.

The shooting on July 27 left 24-year-old Naseem Lindsey with fatal injuries.

Officials charged 19-year-old Angelo Roman, 20-year-old D'Angelo Hill, 19-year-old Geunel Lajara, and the juvenile with 1st degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez said in a news release. They were charged on Oct. 3.

Camden County Police responded to the 100 block of North 25th Street after a ShotSpotter alert just before 8 p.m. There, they found Lindsey "suffering from gunshot wounds," officials said.

Lindsey died at Cooper University Hospital later that evening, according to officials.

Officials said Roman, Hill, and Lajara are custody in the Camden County Correctional Facility, and the juvenile is in the Camden County Juvenile Detention Center.

All four defendants are from Camden, the prosecutor's office said. MacAulay and Rodriguez did not immediately disclose how Lindsey and the four accused people may have been connected.
