UPDATE: Two Charged Following Shooting Outside of Craft House

One man allegedly shot himself, and the other attempted to remove the gun from the scene.

Two South Jersey men were charged following a shooting outside a bar in Cherry Hill, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Cherry Hill Police Chief William Monaghan announced Sunday afternoon.

Daniel Allen Jr., 23, of Pennsauken, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon after he allegedly shot himself outside the Craft House and Beer Garden on Route 70 early Sunday morning.

Cherry Hill Police responded to the bar around 2 a.m. after receiving reports of an altercation between numerous people in the parking lot. During the fight, a woman jumped on Allen’s back.

Allen allegedly attempted to run when police approached him.

A few moments later, police heard a gunshot. When they finally detained Allen, he told them he had shot himself.

Allen was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden for treatment of a gunshot wound to the lower body, and was charged.

Joshua Haughton, 24, of Pennsauken, was also detained after officers observed him allegedly attempting to pick up the gun off the ground. He was charged with obstruction of justice and tampering with evidence.
