Afternoon Shooting Kills Man In Camden: Prosecutor

Homicide investigators are looking into the South Jersey resident's death.

CAMDEN, NJ — A shooting killed a man Sunday afternoon in Camden, officials said.

Police responded to a reported crash at 3:29 p.m. on 1532 South 7th St. They found a person suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office (CCPO).

The victim — Jeremy Barron, 52, of Westville — was taken to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at about 3:45 p.m., the CCPO said.

The investigation remains ongoing.
