It was the Caribbean-themed restaurant chain's last location in the state.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — All Bahama Breeze restaurants are set to permanently close in the near future, including the Cherry Hill location.

Darden Restaurants, Bahama Breeze's parent company, announced the decision on Tuesday.

Bahama Breeze, a chain of Caribbean-inspired restaurants, has 28 remaining locations throughout the United States. Fourteen of them, including Cherry Hill's, are expected to operate through April 5 before closing.

The other half will be converted to different restaurants under the Darden umbrella.

Darden owns several restaurant chains, including Olive Garden and LongHorn Steakhouse. The company founded Bahama Breeze in 1996.

Last year, Bahama Breeze abruptly closed more than one-third of its locations, including four in New Jersey.

The Cherry Hill Mall location was the chain's last-remaining restaurant in the state.

The restaurant has a prominent space that's accessible from the mall parking lot. It is located between Seasons 52 and Eddie V's Prime Seafood, which are both Darden brands.
