Leaders Approve ICE Ban In Camden County

Trump was called a "cult leader and traitor" by one Board member.

CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — A resolution to ban federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents from Camden County-owned property was approved on Thursday.

All members of the Board of Commissioners voted in favor of its passing.

The resolution bans ICE and U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents from entering, using, or accessing any non-public area of the County unless it's in accordance with a valid judicial warrant, judicial order, or otherwise authorized under law.

County employees, contractors, agents of County departments, and representatives of Camden County College are also barred from using County property or resources to assist with federal, state, or local government civil immigration enforcement.

In a statement ahead of Thursday's Board of Commissioners meeting, Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. made headlines when he called for reform and attacked Donald Trump and his administration.
