MOORESTOWN, NJ — The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive on Wednesday at the Lenola Volunteer Fire Company.
Those who are eligible O, B -, or A - type are also asked to consider participating in a "Power Red" donation.
This procedure draws two units of red blood cells and returns your platelets, plasma, and saline.
According to the Red Cross, "Power Red" often leaves patients feeling more hydrated and has twice the life-saving potential when contents are used to help others.
Visit the Red Cross "Eligibility Requirements" list to see if you qualify for "Power Red" and other forms of donations.
Donors are asked to call 1-800-RED CROSS or visit the Red Cross website to make an appointment with code LVFCM.
Guests will be scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A pre-donation reading and health history questionnaire can be filled out online on Wednesday to streamline the flow of visitors and save up to 15 minutes when at the fire building.
