FRANKLINVILLE, NJ — A 13-year-old boy was killed after he was stuck under a farm tractor on Monday, the Franklin Township Police Department said.
At around 5:35 p.m., officers from the Franklin Township Police Department and Elk Township Police Department responded to the 1100 block of Swedesboro Road for a report of a boy who was trapped under a farm tractor.
Based on early evidence, the boy and a man were riding and helping to dig a hole using the vehicle when it flipped over, police said
Officials found the boy unconscious and unresponsive underneath the overturned tractor, lifted it off him and began to perform life-saving measures, police said.
The boy was taken to Cooper University Hospital, where he later died.
The man suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment police d to be treated for minor injuries, police said.
The crash is still under review.
