CAMDEN, NJ — The Ben Franklin Bridge will be closed to all car traffic during a portion of Saturday to allow for the bridge's 100th Anniversary Celebration, the Delaware River Port Authority said.
The temporary pause will last from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The PATCO trains will not be affected by the closure.
Guests are encouraged to walk across the bridge and enjoy a variety of food and entertainment.
On the New Jersey side, a family-friendly fun zone with attractions like large "touch-a-truck" vehicles, historical displays, and more will be available from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The celebration is free. Registration is encouraged, but not required.
