CAMDEN, NJ — Heavy rains and a tornado watch in the region have suspended the River Line railroad in both directions on Tuesday, NJ Transit said.
Service is stopped between the Waterfront Entertainment Center and Walter Rand Transportation Center due to flooding.
As of 6:20 p.m., all River Line trains will also be suspended between the Waterfront Entertainment Center and Trenton out of an abundance of caution.
The last northbound train from Waterfront was at 5:13 p.m. and is scheduled to arrive in Trenton at 6:20 p.m.
The last southbound service from Trenton was at 5:42 p.m. and is scheduled to arrive at Waterfront at 6:49 p.m.
As of Tuesday evening, the tornado watch was in effect until 9 p.m. An estimated restoration time for all impacted lines is yet to be released.
NJ Transit is directing customers to visit their website for updated alternate service information.
