Cherry Hill Gives Details On Upcoming Major Road Projects

Traffic along Route 70 and along Kresson Road in front of the high school may both follow as a result.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Township officials gave the community a better look at the timeline regarding a number of major road projects throughout Cherry Hill.

The construction, being conducted by the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), Camden County, and New Jersey American Water (NJAW), is aimed at creating safer roads and improved stormwater and utilities features.

As part of these efforts, heightened traffic, delays, and detours are anticipated over the months of the projects.

"Thank you for your patience while these important projects progress," said Mayor David Fleisher. "Township council and I will continue to advocate for our residents to keep Cherry Hill safe and moving."

Fleisher said he is in talks with NJDOT, County, and NJAW representatives about ways to reduce the effects on residents.

This includes additional involvement from local police, updates on the "MyCherryHill" app, hand-delivered letters from the Engineering Department and notices from contractors to affected residents.
