LINDENWOLD, NJ — A 34-year-old man was arrested after he stabbed his neighbor with a knife, the Camden County Police Department said.
Sean Hammonds, of Lindenwold, was charged with first-degree attempted murder, second-degree aggravated assault, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
On Thursday, at around 2 p.m., the Lindenwold Police Department responded to the intersection of Sussex Drive and Ashbourne Avenue for a report of a stabbing.
They found a 34-year-old man who was stabbed multiple times. He was taken to Cooper University Hospital and was in stable condition, officials said.
Using surveillance video, authorities identified Hammonds after he left his home, attacked the neighbor, and then went back into his own home.
He was later arrested there and taken to the Camden County Correctional Facility.
Detectives confiscated a knife from inside the home with what appeared to be blood on it.
It was determined that the neighbors at least knew of each other, and this was not a random attack.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Camden County Prosecutor's Office at (856) 225-8493 and the Lindenwold Police Department at (856) 261-2030.
