WASHINGTON — A second suspicious envelope was on its way to Congressman Donald Norcross (D-01) on Thursday, this time directed to his Washington, D.C., office.
This latest delivery comes just days after another attempt to reach the lawmaker when a similar item was mailed to his facility in Cherry Hill on Oct. 19.
"Public service shouldn't require frequently experiencing violent threats, and we can't expect people to be eager to serve their communities if this trend continues to become the norm," said Norcross.

United States Capitol Police intercepted the item and deemed it nonhazardous.
As the country nears closer to the Nov. 3 General Election, four other offices in New Jersey and dozens nationwide have also reported receiving similar substance-laced mail.
As of Thursday afternoon, none have tested positive for any hazardous material.
