The authority said it periodically changes the color of the lights on the bridge to draw attention to national holidays and campaigns.

For example, later this week the lights will be red, white and blue in recognition of Memorial Day. Earlier this month, the lights were orange to draw attention to Melanoma Day, the authority said.
