20 Inches Of Snow In Cherry Hill Area: School Delays, Post-Blizzard Impacts
Some nearby towns got more than 20 inches of snow. Here's what to know about road conditions, delayed school openings and more.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — The worst of the blizzard may be behind Cherry Hill. But with nearly 2 feet of snow blanketing the area, the storm's impacts are expected to linger.
That will include a two-hour delay for Cherry Hill Public Schools on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service (NWS) hasn't shared any snowfall totals for Cherry Hill as of Monday afternoon. But here are some of the highest measurements in nearby towns:
- Mount Laurel: 20.6 inches (as of 1:05 p.m. Monday)
- Moorestown: 19.5 inches (as of 11:20 a.m. Monday)
- Maple Shade: 16 inches (as of 7:30 a.m. Monday)

Public Works crews continue to plow Cherry Hill's roadways.
A chance of snow will linger, mainly before 3 p.m., the NWS said. But strong winds are expected to blow snow around into the evening hours.
A statewide travel ban is in effect until noon Monday, prohibiting non-exempt vehicles from operating on state, county, municipal and intrastate roadways. The New Jersey Turnpike is exempt from the restriction.
A statewide travel ban, which went into effect Sunday night, was lifted at noon Monday. But State Police and the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management are encouraging the public to keep avoiding unnecessary travel.
"Hazardous conditions persist in some parts of the state," the agencies said in a joint announcement. "Some roadways remain snow-covered, visibility is limited in some areas, and crews continue working to clear roads and restore safe travel."
Cherry Hill Township officials advised residents to limit travel as much as possible, and to keep vehicles parked off the road as Public Works crews continue to remove snow.
All of Monday's trash and recycling routes will be collected on Tuesday. Republic Services will continue collections through Saturday until everything is caught up.
"If a route is completed earlier than anticipated, Republic Services will return to the scheduled route for that day," the township announced. "We suggest you place your totes on your normally scheduled day and leave them curbside until they are emptied. As a reminder, please place totes curbside prior to 7:00 AM."
