Business Owner Commits Tax Fraud In South Jersey, Officials Say
Tyrone Pitts pleaded guilty after years of running the construction business.
CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — The former owner of a local business admitted to employee payroll tax fraud, the United States Department of Justice said.
Tyrone Pitts, 60, of Lawnside, pleaded guilty to one count of failing to collect, truthfully account for, and pay over to the IRS payroll taxes.
From 2020 through 2023, Pitts owned, operated, and was president of Arline Electrical Construction Services LLC.

According to officials, he "almost entirely failed" to file Form 941 for employment tax returns and withheld around $810,403 in taxes.
Pitts faces a maximum of five years in jail and a fine of up to $250,000.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 12, 2027.
