Say Hello Again To Buy Buy Baby: Retailer To Reopen Cherry Hill Store Soon

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Buy Buy Baby is back. The retailer, under new ownership, plans to reopen several stores soon, including Cherry Hill's.

The Cherry Hill location will celebrate its grand reopening at 10 a.m. Nov. 18.

Previously owned by Bed Bath & Beyond Inc., Buy Buy Baby risked permanent closure when its New Jersey-based parent company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last April. However, Dream On Me Industries — a longtime supplier of baby goods for Buy Buy Baby — bought the leases for 11 of the store's locations at a bankruptcy auction, including Cherry Hill's.

Bankruptcy had forced the remaining Buy Buy Baby locations to close. But Dream On Me Industries has announced intentions to reopen stores in its acquired spaces.

The stores will reopen Nov. 18. Cherry Hill's grand reopening will feature giveaways, parenting experts, and snacks and beverages. Register for free here.

New Jersey will have four locations overall, with stores also reopening in Bridgewater, Paramus and Woodbridge.

Each store will carry many of the same brands as before, according to Buy Buy Baby's website. However, no refunds will be accepted on items purchased before Aug. 1.

During Bed Bath & Beyond's demise, Buy Buy Baby was seen as one of the retailer's more valuable assets, with several companies interested in securing at least part of the brand separately from the parent company.

Dream On Me — headquartered in Somerset — doesn't have a brick-and-mortar presence. The company sells its goods through several prominent retail partners, including Amazon, Burlington, Kohl's, Target, The Home Depot and Walmart.

Cherry Hill's Buy Buy Baby is located at 1590 Kings Highway N, in the Ellisburg Circle Shopping Center.
