Camden Catholic Boys Advance, Girls Out of Basketball Playoffs

The second halves go opposite ways for the two Irish teams.

Kyle Green put together a 15-point second-half effort, and the Camden Catholic boys pulled away from Monsignor Donovan as Green poured it on, in a 46-30 victory in the first round of the South Jersey, Non-Public A tournament Tuesday night.

Green scored just three points in the first half, during which the entire Irish squad struggled, putting together just a two-point lead at halftime over No. 12 Donovan.

It was all Catholic in the second half, though, as the Irish turned that two-point halftime advantage into eight by the end of the third, then cruised through the fourth quarter to win going away.
