Camden Catholic Football Falls to Timber Creek [Photos]

The Irish couldn't keep up with the defending South Jersey, Group 4 champs.

After falling behind 21-0 at halftime to defending South Jersey, Group 4 champs Timber Creek, the Camden Catholic Irish got about as good a start to the second half as they could've asked for.

Jahier Frankin took the kickoff at his own 15 and found a seam, going 85 yards for the score and putting the Irish right back in it.

But the bad news for Camden Catholic was Timber Creek still had Dan Williams and Adonis Jennings on the field.

Those two seniors combined for three touchdowns through the air and opened up the running game to give Isaiah Austin room to score twice more, as Timber Creek ran away with the season opener, 34-7.

Despite flashes of elusiveness from sophomore quarterback Tyree Rodgers and a number of solid carries from running back Benny Walls, the Irish offense never found a rhythm.
