Camden Catholic Football Team Slips by Moorestown, 18-13
Cherry Hill West and Cherry Hill East both fell on the gridiron, but saw success on the soccer fields.

The Camden Catholic High School football team limited Moorestown to two touchdowns as the Irish defeated the Quakers, 18-13.
Camden Catholic quarterback Matt Goldner hit Tyree Rodgers with the winning touchdown pass, a 37-yarder, with about five minutes left in the game.
Rodgers had returned the opening kickoff 92 yards to put Camden Catholic up, 7-0. The Irish connected on field goals of 27 and 17 yards.
Anthony Williamson had both scores with the Quakers, on runs of 3 and 33 yards.
After Williamson's second score, Moorestown led, 13-12, before Goldner's heroics.
Also on the football field this week, Timber Creek defeated Cherry Hill West, 52-28, and Eastern shut out Cherry Hill East, 38-0.

Boys' soccer:
Eastern 3, Cherry Hill East 2: Cohen Andrew and Kyle Lochbihler each scored in a game that was 2-2 at the end of regulation. The teams were scoreless through one overtime period before Eastern scored the winning goal in the second overtime. Goalie Sam Snyder made six saves for Cherry Hill East, which fell to 2-4 on the season.
Cherry Hill East 5, Winslow 1: Cherry Hill East exploded for five goals in the second half after the teams battled to a scoreless tie in the first.
Andrew Cohen, Evan Bloom, Jake Cominsky, Ronan McVeigh and Nevin Shanker all found the back of the net. Michael Blatt, Zach Fox and Jake Siegel provided the assists.
Matt DiPatri and Sam Snyder split time in goal, with DiPatri making seven saves and Snyder making one stop.
Girls soccer:
Cherry Hill East was on both sides of 6-0 games this week. After defeating Winslow, 6-0, the Cougars fell to Eastern, 6-0, on Thursday.
Alexa Beatty and Bianca Christophe each scored two goals and had an assist. Dana Barth and Sara Messinger each contributed one goal, and Kelsey Gorman and McKenzie Miller had assists.
Cherry Hill West was 1-1 last week, including a 5-0 win over Winslow and a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Timber Creek.
