Camden Co. Man Injured Postal Worker In PA Crash, Fled Scene: Police

The hit-and-run left the victim lying on the roadway, authorities said.

SHARON HILL, PA — A Camden County man injured a U.S. Postal worker in a crash and fled the scene in Pennsylvania, authorities said.

Hamlet Espinal, of Pennsauken, was arrested Tuesday for his alleged role in the crash earlier this month in Sharon Hill — a Philadelphia suburb.

The crash happened Nov. 7, when police found a man lying on the roadway and a heavily damaged U.S. Postal Service truck at the scene. The victim was a USPS employee, who was brought to a local trauma center and listed in stable condition.

Police later found Espinal's vehicle in nearby Glenolden Borough and identified Espinal as the driver who fled the scene. Espinal, 22, was arrested on a warrant Tuesday during a traffic stop.

Espinal, 22, was charged with causing an accident involving personal injury, reckless endangerment, reckless driving and careless driving.
