Camden Hit-And-Run Kills Single Mother In Broad Daylight
The driver who struck and killed Carla Mahan remains unknown.
CAMDEN, NJ — A woman was killed in a hit-and-run in broad daylight Wednesday in Camden, authorities said.
Police responded at about 3:20 p.m., after an unknown vehicle struck Carla Mahan, 41, around 7th Street and Tulip Street. She was brought to Cooper University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 4:06 p.m., according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.
Mahan, of Camden, was a hardworking single mother of three, according to Fox 29 News Philadelphia.

"She likes to do things on her own," her father, Carlos Mahan, told the news outlet. "That's the daughter we all love. Not only did she have pretty eyes, but she had a pretty heart."
No information about the suspect vehicle is available as of Friday morning. The case remains under investigation.
