Teen Shot 2 People, Killing Man In Camden: Prosecutor
The suspect was already in custody on an unrelated charge from earlier this month, authorities said.
CAMDEN, NJ — A Camden teen killed a man and injured a woman in a shooting, authorities said Tuesday.
Avonte Muse, 19, was charged with first-degree murder and second-degree aggravated assault. He was arrested Nov. 4 on an unrelated charge and remains in the Camden County Jail.
Muse's recent charges stem from an Oct. 27 double shooting in the city, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office (CCPO). At about 8 p.m. that night, police found two shooting victims — Akeem Jenkins and a 32-year-old woman — at the 2800 block of Hull Road, officials said.
