Celebrate Ice Cream Day With Deals From These Cherry Hill-Area Shops

CHERRY HILL, NJ — The screams for ice cream will likely be louder than usual Sunday in South Jersey and around the United States.

'Why' you ask? Because Sunday is also the 38th observance of Ice Cream Day in the United States, according to the International Dairy Foods Association.

With inflation at its highest level in decades, we searched for ice cream deals in and around Cherry Hill, to commemorate this unofficial holiday. The results of our search are below.

• Alden's Ice Cream says it is offering $1 off all of its ice cream products. Look for their frozen treats inside supermarkets like Aldi's (they have a location at 2110 State Route 38 in Cherry Hill), Costco (one of their stores is at 650 Garden Park Boulevard in Cherry Hill), Mom's Organic Market (find one at 1631 Kings Highway North in Cherry Hill), ShopRite (they have a location in the Garden State Pavilion in Cherry Hill), Wegman's (one of their stores is at 2100 State Route 70 in Cherry Hill) and Whole Foods (find one at 1558 Kings Highway North in Cherry Hill).

• Coldstone Creamery, which has a location at 4270 Dearborn Circle in Mount Laurel, is offering guests $4 off purchases of $20 or more that are made through their app. (Haven't downloaded it yet? The company says you can still get the deal if you don't download it until Ice Cream Day.) Coldstone Creamery is also providing free delivery on select online orders and ... if you buy $25 in gift cards from ColdStoneCreamery.com you may get a $5 Bonus eCard.

• Friendly's, which has a location at 1900 Springdale Road in Cherry Hill) says it will give you a free medium sundae if you download their app. In addition, once you buy five medium or large sundaes through the app, the company says your next medium sundae is free.

• There are also a number of lesser-known but still equally amazing ice cream shops like Pop Shop along Main Street in Medford and the Ice Cream Parlour at 219 Haddonfield-Berlin Road in Cherry Hill.

• Last but not least, we're almost positive any diner in Cherry Hill and the surrounding area, like Ponzio's at 7 State Route 70 or Cherry Hill Diner at 2431 State Route 38 will have some kind of ice cream available.
