When Will Cherry Hill Pick A New Superintendent? District Shares Timeline Of Search

The district shared an outline of its nationwide search for a new head of schools, which includes public-input sessions in the coming weeks.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Cherry Hill school officials plan to search for superintendent candidates until mid-December, with hopes to select a new district leader by mid-June.

The Cherry Hill Township School District, one of New Jersey's largest school systems, shared a broad timeline for its superintendent search. Dr. Joseph Meloche's departure for the same role in a Pennsylvania school district — announced in March — has left Cherry Hill without a permanent superintendent since the end of June, prompting a nationwide search for his replacement.

Dr. Kwame Morton, a district administrator, is serving as acting superintendent.
