Cherry Hill East Football Team Overcomes Deficit in Win

Cherry Hill West led at halftime of its game, but ultimately fell to Paul VI.

The Cherry Hill High School East football team scored the last two touchdowns to overcome a 13-point deficit in a 21-20 win over Northern Burlington Friday night, according to nj.com.

Vincent McGuckin’s second touchdown of the night was the game-winner for Cherry Hill East. He scored on runs of 4 yards and 1 yard. Miles McLeod scored on a 4-yard touchdown run for Cherry Hill East, which remained unbeaten at 2-0.

Lorenzo Hernandez scored the only touchdown of the game for Cherry Hill High School West in its 23-6 defeat at the hands of Paul VI, according to nj.com.

Hernandez’s touchdown gave Cherry Hill West a 6-3 halftime lead, Paul VI scored 13 points in the third quarter and its defense pitched a second-half shutout.
