Cherry Hill East's Wolf Falls, Doubles Wait
Rain wiped out the action Sunday at the state tennis championships.
Lauren Romisher and Adele Boyarski can hold their own on a tennis court, but they can't take on Mother Nature.
The Cherry Hill East No. 1 doubles team will have to wait a week before they can resume their run in the state doubles tournament, which was wiped out by a steady rain that hit late morning at Mercer County Park Sunday.
Meanwhile, top singles Allyson Wolf lost to overall No. 7 seed Kirstin Godau of Montville, 6-0, 6-2, ending her run in the individual tournament.

As a team, the No. 1-seeded Cougars, who swept Shawnee in the first round, have another playoff match looming Tuesday against No. 8 Lenape, a team they beat, 3-2, earlier this season.
If that match is any indication, it should be a tight oneâthe Cougars got wins from Wolf and No. 3 singles Nikita Shukla and No. 2 doubles team Paige Leone and Tyler Haaz, though Haaz and Leone had to go to three sets to clinch the team win.
