One sack set up the game-winning score, while an interception put a stop to the Cougars’ final scoring effort.
Northern Burlington got on the board first, but Cherry Hill East scored twice in the second quarter to take the halftime lead, according to the box score posted on the site.

First, Brandon Stern caught a 16-yard pass for a score from Vincent Guckin.
Mile McLeod gave Cherry Hill East the 14-7 halftime lead with a 2-yard touchdown run.

Northern Burlington tied the game in the third, but Cherry Hill East responded with a 1-yard touchdown run from Stern to reclaim the lead, 21-14.
Tyler O’Dell scored twice in the final quarter to give Northern Burlington the win and drop Cherry Hill East to 0-2.
The game between Cherry Hill West and Shawnee wasn’t as close, but it was tied early on before Shawnee was able pull away for a 51-14 win, according to nj.com.
Shawnee scored first, but the Lions quickly tied things up with a 51-yard touchdown pass from Chris Pascall to Joey Argentina.
However, by the time the Lions scored again, they already found themselves in a 28-7 hole.
Cherry Hill West’s second score came in the second quarter, when Pascall hit Argentina with a 19-yard pass.
Cherry Hill West fell to 0-2.
