Cherry Hill High School East Makes Philly Mag's '40 Best' List

The magazine looked at 127 suburban schools and 81 schools in the city to come up with the area's 40 best.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — A new list from Philadelphia Magazine lays out the best high schools in and around Philadelphia. And of course Cherry Hill High School East made the list.

The magazine published "The 40 Best Public High Schools in Philadelphia and the Suburbs" recently after looking at public data from Pennsylvania and New Jersey departments of education and the National Center for Education Statistics.

"These schools make up the top fifth of our separate rankings of Philadelphia district and charter schools (81 total) and suburban public schools in the Greater Philadelphia region (127 total)," the magazine said.

According to the magazine, Cherry Hill East has 2,171 students with a 98 percent graduation rate and an 88 percent college attendance rate. It's got a 16:1 student-teacher ratio and have average 592 verbal and 595 math SAT scores.
