Cherry Hill MVC Center Closes Due To Positive Coronavirus Case

An employee at the Cherry Hill Motor Vehicle Center has tested positive for the coronavirus, resulting in the center's closure, MVC said.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — The Cherry Hill Motor Vehicle Center is closing effective immediately after an employee tested positive for the coronavirus, the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) announced on Wednesday.

The employee who tested positive was last in the center, located at 617 Hampton Road, on Oct. 31, according to the MVC. The center will be closed until Nov. 16. It will be cleaned and will reopen after contact tracers have cleared enough employees to reopen or any required quarantine is complete.

The announcement came after the Cherry Hill Public School District announced earlier this week that about three dozen students had tested positive for the coronavirus, and the district would remain in its all-remote learning model until Nov. 30.
