Cherry Hill Police Announce Safe Zones to Complete Craigslist Transactions

One safe zone is at the Police Headquarters lobby, while the other is at the "horseshoe" of parking spots in the back lot at Town Hall.

Cherry Hill, NJ --Cherry Hill Police Department created various designated safe zones around Cherry Hill where residents can complete sales and purchases through Craigslist and other similar websites, announced on the Cherry Hill Police Facebook page on Aug. 19.

These zones are in highly visible locations in order to increase the safety of online purchases. Cherry Hill residents should use these locations to complete Craigslist transactions, rather than meet at a side street or other nondescript locations, or their home.

So far, two safe zone locations have been established in and around the Township Municipal Building at 820 Mercer St. Both safe zones are easily identifiable by the bright yellow "Safe Transaction Signs." These locations will always be monitored by surveillance cameras.
