Cherry Hill Municipal Building Closed, Trash Pickup Suspended

The municipal building is closed, and the Department of Public Works is monitoring the forecast.

CHERRY HILL, NJ - The Cherry Hill Municipal Building is closed on Wednesday due to inclement weather in the forecast, officials announced Wednesday morning. Municipal court and recreational activities are also canceled, and the library will close at 11 a.m. All programs will be rescheduled.

Trash and recycling pickup was suspended early Wednesday afternoon. Any neighborhoods that usually get their trash and recycling picked up on Wednesday that are not completed will be finished on Thursday, according to officials.

Residents should keep their collection bins off the road. Anyone whose trash will be collected on Thursday should keep their bins at the curb line but out of the street to help plows navigate safely and efficiently.

The Department of Public Works is monitoring the forecast. Crews will treat and clear roads as quickly as possible, officials said. All cars should be moved off the street and parked in driveways to help plows navigate safely and efficiently. Where driveways aren't available, residents are asked to keep parking to one side of the street.

Residents are advised to stay home and off the roads for the duration of the storm. Limited travel during and immediately after snowfall allows plow crews and emergency personnel to do their job safely and greatly reduces the potential for accidents, officials said.
