CHERRY HILL, NJ — The Cherry Hill Public School District will begin providing free/reduced price meals to families in the district who qualify as the district moves to a remote learning plan, the district said Monday morning.
Meals will be distributed from 10 a.m. to noon at both of the district’s high schools. Each qualifying student will receive two breakfasts and two lunches during that time on Tuesday and Thursday of this week.
This will be a drive-up process at the front of the main entrance to Cherry Hill High School West and at the Student Entrance (large parking lot) at Cherry Hill High School East. The person picking up meals must have the student ID number for each child receiving meals. More communication will be posted regarding distribution for the week of March 23, 2020. Additionally, the in-person registration for kindergarten in the district has been put on hold, school officials announced Monday morning. It will be on hold through March 26.
Parents are advised to pre-register their child online. At that point, the child will be in the registration queue, and a place in an in-district kindergarten class will be held for them.
Parents will receive specific instructions on how to complete the registration at a later date, officials said.
