Cherry Hill West Baseball Team Downs Vineland to Advance in Playoffs

Cherry Hill, NJ -- Jake Campbell drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning as the third-seeded Cherry Hill High School West baseball team edged No. 14 Vineland, 4-3, in the first round of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 4 playoffs on Tuesday, according to nj.com.

The Fighting Clan loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh, but Adam Sachs was able to pitch his way out of the jam, forcing a Vineland hitter into a double play to end the game.

The Lions will host No. 11 Washington Township, which upset No. 6 Kingsway, 4-0, in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
