Cherry Hill West Football Team Wins Season Opener on 2-Point Conversion
The Lions defeated Seneca, 15-13.

Cherry Hill, NJ -- Harrison Hand provided what turned out to be the winning points in the Cherry Hill High School West football team’s 15-13 win over Seneca in the season opener in Tabernacle Friday night, according to nj.com.
He caught a 62-yard pass from Tyrone Williams to break a 7-7 tie in the third quarter. His run for two points gave Cherry Hill West a 15-7 lead.
Seneca scored in the fourth quarter on a 9-yard touchdown pass from Kevin Gsell to Tommy Scarpello, but failed to convert the attempted 2-point run that would’ve tied the game.

Nick DiVietro had put Cherry Hill West on the board first with a 19-yard run in the second quarter. A 16-yard pass from Gsell to Scarpello later in the quarter tied the game going into the half.
Cherry Hill West (1-0) hosts Highland (1-0) in its home opener Friday night, Sept. 16, 7 p.m.
