Cherry Hill West Misses Out on Football Playoffs
The Lions are out on power points to Hammonton.

The Cherry Hill West Lions will have to wait another year for a crack at the schoolâs first-ever playoff game, after falling just three points short of a postseason berth.
Hammonton ended up with the eighth and final spot in South Jersey, Group 4, edging West by picking up a handful of residual power points from wins by Holy Spirit and Bridgeton.
The Lions picked up a few points from Moorestownâs win over Paul VI, but needed a win from either Cumberland or Woodrow Wilson to seriously challenge for a spot in the bracket.

Consolation games
While both West and East are eligible for a consolation game in lieu of a playoff spot, the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) is giving teams the opportunity to decline a consolation game this year, because of the late start to the playoffs.

The full list of consolation games should come Monday evening, but per the NJSIAAâs rules, West would likely face either Seneca or Triton, and East would be at Rancocas Valley.
