Cherry Hill West Softball Team Makes State Tournament
The Lions are the No. 16 seed in South Jersey Group 3.
Cherry Hill, NJ -- The Cherry Hill High School West softball team takes on the best team in the field to kick off its run for a South Jersey title.
The 16th-seeded Lions visit top-seeded Cumberland Regional in the first round of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 playoffs, according to brackets posted on nj.com on Tuesday. That game takes place on Monday, May 23.
Cherry Hill West made the playoff field with a record of 6-11. Cumberland is 17-3.

The winner plays the winner of the game between No. 8 Delsea and No. 9 Atlantic Tech on May 25.
The semifinals are scheduled for May 31, with the finals at Kean University on June 3.

Cherry Hill West is 2-1 in its last three games, with wins over Cherokee and Cherry Hill East. The Lions also hold wins over Winslow, Woodbury and Northern Burlington this season.
