Cherry Hill Woman In Her 80s Dies Of Coronavirus
As of Monday, there are 1,211 cases of the coronavirus in Cherry Hill with 163 confirmed deaths.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — A Cherry Hill woman in her 80s has died after testing positive for the coronavirus, Camden County officials announced on Monday. It was the only new fatality recorded in the county between Aug. 8 and Aug. 10.
As of Monday, there are 1,211 cases of the coronavirus in Cherry Hill with 163 confirmed deaths. Countywide, there are 9,181 cases of the coronavirus and 550 confirmed deaths.
“Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the 550 victims, and their families, who have been lost in Camden County due to COVID-19,” Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. said. “We are devastated by every life lost to this pandemic, but we are encouraged by the decreasing rate of fatalities in the county. This is entirely due to our residents and their collective effort to protect our vulnerable populations by slowing the spread of coronavirus. If we continue to wear masks, social distance, and work with contact tracers when they call, we will save more lives and further reduce the number of confirmed cases in our community.”

According to the Camden County Department of Health, there are 1,338 confirmed cases among residents at the county's long-term care facilities, with 311 deaths. Another 526 cases were reported among staff members with three deaths.

Trace investigations are underway in all new cases. The following information is available for all new cases reported in Cherry Hill over the last three days:
- Three women in their 30s;
- A man in his 60s;
- A man in his 20s;
- A woman in her 20s;
- A man in his 30s;
- A woman in her 50s; and
- A man in his 50s.
