Cherry Hill Woman Who Died in Fatal Plane Crash Helped Found County Boys and Girls Club
Susan Asbell began working with the Boys and Girls Club of Camden County at the request of Lewis Katz.
A Cherry Hill woman who died in Saturday’s plane crash worked closely with Lewis Katz, helped found the Camden County Boys and Girls Club and was the wife of a former Camden County Prosecutor.
Susan Asbell, 67, and Katz grew up together, and Katz asked Asbell to join the Camden County Boys and Girls Club when it was founded, The Dallas News reports.
Absell and her husband, former Camden County Prosecutor Sam Asbell had two children, according to boston.com.

Susan Asbell was described to The Dallas News and CBS Philadelphia as “ a tremendous force,” “an amazing woman” and “the ultimate friend.”
Asbell, Katz and Marcella Dalsey, the KATZ Academy Charter School president known affectionately as “Marcy,” traveled together to Massachusetts over the weekend.

Additionally, the Middlesex District Attorney in Massachusetts listed Michael DeVries, of Marlton, as the final of seven victims. He was listed as a co-pilot.
The identities of the other six victims were released earlier in the day.
The District Attorney also confirmed the plane never left the ground when it crashed just before 10 p.m. Saturday, killing all seven people onboard.
DeVries and Pilot James McDowell, 51, of Georgetown, DE were regarded as “seasoned veterans in the air.” Officials are gathering information about the pilots' recent work history and sleep cycles, National Transportation Safety Board Aviation Investigator Luke Shiada said during a press conference on Monday.
The plane, a Gulfstream IV, was headed to Atlantic City International Airport in New Jersey with seven people onboard - two flight crew members, one pilot and four passengers.
