CHRIS BENNETT OF MARLTON, N.J. TO COMPETE AT ITF SENIORS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN FRANCE

U.S. Sending 24 Athletes to Participate in International Team Competition; Bennett will Compete in the Von Cramm Cup (Men's 60 & over)

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., May 27, 2015 – The USTA has announced the 24 players who will represent the United States at the ITF Seniors World Team Championships, the senior equivalent of tennis’ Davis Cup and Fed Cup competitions. The 24 American athletes will be competing against players from 29 other countries.

Chris Bennett of Marlton, N.J., will compete in the Von Cramm Cup (Men’s 60 & over). Bennett, who is a tennis teacher, has five national major tennis titles to his name.

The ITF Seniors World Team Championships is the highest-ranked event on the ITF Seniors Circuit for male and female players in the age categories 50-60 and will be held June 8-13 in La Baule, France.

The American women will be defending the title in the Maureen Connolly Cup (Women’s 55) for the fourth consecutive year.

Following the ITF Seniors World Team Championships, the World Individual Championships will be held June 14-21, also in La Baule.
