The City Of Camden Is Hosting A Parade For Its High School Sports Champions Tuesday.
'Forces to be reckoned with' from four sports are being honored, a Camden County Commissioner said.
CAMDEN, NJ - Student-athletes from Woodrow Wilson High and Camden High are being honored with a parade and a community celebration in the City of Camden Tuesday.
The festivities recognize that Woodrow Wilson High School’s boys’ varsity basketball team won the Group 3 state championship and that the varsity football team maintained its title of Group 3 champions for its third straight year, according to a press release.
In addition, the Camden High boys’ varsity basketball team won the Group 2 state championship and finished as runner-up in the tournament of champions, while the girls’ indoor track team won the state championship, the press release also said.

“These young men and women are truly a force to be reckoned with on the track, the basketball court and the football field,” Camden County Commissioner Al Dyer said in a press release. “They gave it their all this past season, which clearly paid off and they deserve to be celebrated for their performances.”
The parade begins at 1:30 p.m. at Woodrow Wilson High School, travels past Camden High School and ends at Wiggins Waterfront Park. At 2:30 p.m., that same park is the setting for a community-wide celebration with free food, refreshments and games, according to the press release.
