College Consortium to Recognize Camden County Freeholder

Deputy Director Ed McDonnell will be recognized at Camden County College on Aug. 19.

The New Jersey Community College Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development will honor Camden County Freeholder Deputy Director Ed McDonnell.

The consortium will recognize McDonnell for his contributions to the organization during their 10th anniversary celebration at Camden County College on Aug.19.

“I hold the goals of the Community College Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development close to my heart,” McDonnell said. “I am truly honored to be recognized for the accomplishments we have made in matching industry with a ready workforce. Assisting individuals to obtain gainful employment, and providing the training to keep others from losing their jobs, has always been a top priority.”

The Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development was founded in 2004 to provide coordinated one-stop statewide education and training services to businesses and industries. It serves 4,500 businesses and over 100,000 workers.

Through the consortium, New Jersey businesses have access to the resources of New Jersey’s 19 community colleges and their 64 campuses throughout the state. Businesses can use these resources to develop and receive education and training for their current and emerging workforce.
