Cooper Medical School Honored Among Nation's Leaders In Primary Care
The facility also earned a high rating in the area of "Research."
CAMDEN, NJ — Cooper Medical School of Rowan University was honored in the latest installment of U.S. News & World Report's 2026 Best Medical Schools.
The school earned high marks in both the "Primary Care and "Research" categories.
Cooper is the only facility in New Jersey and the only public school in the Philadelphia region to be ranked in the top two levels for Primary Care, and earned a"Tier 2" recognition.

"This continued recognition reflects the outstanding dedication of our faculty, students, and staff, and underscores our mission to educate compassionate physicians who will fulfill the critical need for primary care doctors in New Jersey and across the nation," said Annette C. Reboli, MD, dean of Cooper Medical School of Rowan University.
In the area of "Research," the institution earned a "Tier 3" status.

"Our Tier 3 ranking reflects the remarkable growth...of scholarly enterprise...and the impact our faculty...are making across the biomedical and clinical sciences," added Reboli.
Cooper University Hospital in Camden is a partner of the medical school and serves as the core clinical site for students.
Its physicians account for the majority of the faculty.
"Our physicians are proud to serve as faculty, mentors, and researchers, helping to train the next generation of compassionate, highly skilled clinicians who will meet the evolving needs of our communities," added Anthony J. Mazzarelli, MD, JD, MBE, CO-CEO of Cooper University Health Care.
The U.S. News & World Report rankings are designed to support prospective medical students in their choices and journeys forward.
The tiers are based on an annual collection of graduate education data that U.S. News scores on factors like faculty resources, research activity, and student outcomes.
