Covered Bridge Road Repairs Postponed Until Summer

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Repairs originally scheduled on Covered Bridge Road beginning Feb. 27 have been pushed back several months, officials said.

Work will consist of the complete removal and replacement of the cedar shake roofing system on the historic bridge over the north branch of Cooper River.

The township school district shared an update Tuesday, saying the work has been postponed until on or about July 1. The closure will be for about 30 days, according to the Department of Engineering.
