CHERRY HILL, NJ — A landscaping truck lost control and flipped onto its side, taking out a utility pole Tuesday morning in Cherry Hill, according to officials. Police said to avoid the area of Cuthbert Boulevard and Hampton Road.

Authorities reported the dump-style truck's crash at about 8:20 a.m. All lanes on Route 38 remain open, but officials closed and detoured the ramps to Cuthbert Boulevard, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

The driver and passenger sustained "what appears to be minor injuries," said Cherry Hill Police Chief Robert Kempf. But officials took them to the hospital as a precaution.

The truck took out a light pole, which caused a portion of the road to be closed so PSE&G could make repairs. The utility company reported no active power outages in Camden County as of 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The intersection of Cuthbert Boulevard and Hampton Road is by Camden Catholic High School and Lidl.
