CHERRY HILL, NJ — A crowded field of candidates is set to run for Cherry Hill's school board.

Seven candidates filed to run for the three available seats on the Cherry Hill School District's Board of Education

Here are the candidates (three-year terms, vote for three):

  • John M. (Jack) Brangan
  • Renee Cherfane
  • Ineda "Corrien" Elmore-Stratton
  • Kimberly Gallagher
  • Nicholas J. Gaudio, Jr.
  • Jennifer Sharman
  • Miriam Stern

Elmore-Stratton, Gallagher and Stern are incumbents — Stern currently serves as board president. Gaudio and Sharman are running under a joint ticket with the slogan "Empower All Families." Brangan has the slogan "Truth, Knowledge, Excellence," while Cherfane's ballot slogan is "Innovation and Improvement."

Monday marked the deadline for school-board candidates around the state to file petitions to get on the ballot for the upcoming elections. New Jersey's general elections take place Nov. 7.
