Debris Spill On I-676 Prompts Lane Closures In Camden Co.

Traffic in the area should expect delays, officials said.

CAMDEN, NJ — A debris spill on Interstate 676 in Camden has prompted lane closures that could slow down Friday's evening commute.

The unspecified spill, reported at about 2 p.m., occurred on I-676 northbound in Camden — north of Exit 4 to Atlantic Avenue — according to the NJ Department of Transportation (NJDOT).

Only 1 of 3 northbound lanes is open in the area as of this writing. NJDOT expects delays of 5 to 10 minutes.

I-676 northbound brings traffic to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, which crosses into Philadelphia. Currently, NJDOT is not reporting any significant delays on the bridge in either direction.
